Favorites... These are a handful of other favorite photos I've taken over the past couple months. Each is very different from the other and I enjoy the variety of subjects and locations.

Film Scans

Image
Film Scans In the first few months of class we shot film. Scanning film was cool as I had never done it before so it was interesting to see how it worked. I really like the lower image as it has a dreamy quality as the focus is quite soft.

Self Portrait

Image
Self Portrait For my self portrait project, I tried to capture myself during the activities I enjoy the most. The photos are from different locations but are all self portraits shot with a tripod and self-timer.

Holga Medium Format

Image
Holga Medium Format For this assignment, I really like the way the first image came out. Holga's are pretty unpredictable so it was a nice surprise to see the image come out cleanly.

Crack Photos

Image
Cracks For the crack assignment, I took photos primarily of cracks in the asphalt or concrete but did get one photo of cracks in some dry dirt.

Personal Project: Abandoned

Image
Personal Project: Abandoned I found it very interesting to explore some of the abandoned buildings and other forgotten belongings. I enjoy photographing the decay before the buildings collapse or get knocked down.

Personal Project: Panning

Image
Personal Project: Panning For the first few personal project assignments, I chose to focus on panning photography but found it difficult to find interesting subjects. I then changed my goal to documenting abandoned buildings and other decaying things among nature.

San Francisco

Image
San Fransisco I am trying to take more candid photos of the homeless in San Francisco, I like the last picture the most because of the colors, scattered pigeons and the man's facial expression.

Photograms

Image
Photograms Photogram #1 Creating photograms in the darkroom was fun as it was completely personal how we organized our items and the outcomes were interesting.

Favorites

Favorites These are two of my favorite long exposures that I've captured over the past year. Steel wool has proved challenging to get right due to its unpredictability. The lower image is from Lake Tahoe, summer of 2016.
